Update Policy

International Journal of Psychology and Strategic Communication (IJPSC)
DOI: https://doi.org/10.61030/ijpsc.crossmark

The International Journal of Psychology and Strategic Communication (IJPSC) is committed to preserving the scholarly integrity, traceability, and long-term reliability of its published content. This Update Policy outlines our procedures for editorial review, post-publication amendments, ethical compliance, issue reporting, and link permanence.

Editorial Process and Quality Assurance

All submitted manuscripts are subject to a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Submissions are reviewed by at least two independent experts who evaluate the work for originality, methodological soundness, relevance, and ethical adherence. Final decisions are made by the editorial board based on reviewers’ recommendations and the overall academic quality of the submission.

Editorial staff, reviewers, and editors are expected to follow COPE’s best practices, maintaining impartiality, confidentiality, and transparency throughout the editorial workflow.

Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are required to submit original work and properly reference all sources. Plagiarism, redundant publication, and misrepresentation are strictly prohibited. Full disclosure of funding sources and potential conflicts of interest is mandatory. For research involving human or animal subjects, compliance with ethical and legal standards—including informed consent and data protection—is required.

Submissions found to violate these standards may be rejected or retracted.

Reporting Ethical Concerns

Concerns regarding the integrity, accuracy, or ethical standards of published content may be reported to the editorial office at editor@ijpsc.org. All reports are treated confidentially and reviewed in line with COPE procedures.

Post-Publication Updates and Retractions

IJPSC distinguishes between different types of post-publication amendments:

  • Erratum for publisher-introduced typographical or formatting errors
  • Corrigendum for author corrections that do not affect the article’s conclusions
  • Addendum for additional content provided after publication
  • Retraction for articles found to contain serious errors or ethical violations
  • Expression of Concern when substantial doubts are under investigation

All updates are assigned a unique DOI and clearly linked to the original version using the Crossmark infrastructure.

Handling of Updated and Retracted Content

Content revisions are documented in a transparent and traceable manner. Corrected articles are made publicly accessible with clear indications of changes. Retracted works remain available but are visibly marked as RETRACTED and excluded from active indexing where applicable. No update is ever implemented silently. All changes are timestamped and reflected in Crossref metadata.

Link Persistence and Long-Term Accessibility

IJPSC is committed to permanent, stable access to its content. In line with the W3C principle “Cool URIs don’t change”, all article URLs, update notices, and metadata records are designed to remain valid over time. We implement permanent identifiers (DOIs), version tracking, and redirect protocols to ensure long-term link stability and content discoverability.

Even in the event of server or infrastructure changes, backward compatibility and redirection are strictly maintained so that all references, citations, and links remain functional and trustworthy.

Through participation in the Crossmark initiative, IJPSC provides a trusted mechanism for readers to verify that they are accessing the most recent and authoritative version of a given document. The Crossmark icon on each article serves as a reliable reference point for updates, corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions.

In addition, the Crossmark record offers access to key publication metadata, including:

  • Peer-review status: All research articles published by IJPSC are subject to a rigorous double-blind peer review process.
  • License: Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), where applicable.
  • Funding disclosure: Contributions are supported by the Anneliese and Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. mult. Waldemar Wittmann Foundation, an institution dedicated to the advancement of science, research, and education.
  • Ethical compliance: All submissions must adhere to IJPSC’s Code of Ethics.

This framework ensures full transparency and accountability for all published content.
