Call for Papers: Ukraine Digital
Call for Papers: Ukraine Digital – Advancing Digital Education in Times of Crisis
The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has fundamentally altered the global higher education landscape. In response to these unprecedented disruptions, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) established the initiative “Ukraine digital: Ensuring academic success in times of crisis.” Led by Hochschule Mittweida – University of Applied Sciences, in close partnership with the Odessa National Economic University (ONEU) and the Oles Honchar Dnipro National University (DNU), this program delivers the critical infrastructure and resources necessary to sustain academic continuity for Ukrainian faculty and students navigating geopolitical constraints.
Since the onset of the war in 2022, academic institutions across Ukraine have confronted severe infrastructural damage and widespread faculty displacement. Driven by remarkable institutional resilience, these universities have rapidly adopted virtual learning environments and remote pedagogical frameworks to safeguard the educational pipeline.
The “Ukraine digital” initiative addresses these challenges through a dual-pronged strategy: facilitating the transfer of specialized educational curricula to partner institutions and systematically elevating digital literacy among academic staff and students.
To expand upon these frameworks and foster deeper cross-border institutional cooperation, this Call for Papers invites researchers, educators, and policy practitioners to submit original research, case studies, and insights dedicated to advancing digital education and resilient teaching methodologies under crisis conditions.
