Abstract

This article analyzes the ethical challenges associated with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in international business and evaluates various regulatory approaches to AI around the world. While the rapid development of AI presents significant opportunities to transform business processes, it also raises pressing ethical concerns. These include issues related to transparency, algorithmic bias, data protection, and accountability for AI-driven decisions.

To provide a comparative perspective, the paper examines major policy frameworks such as the European Union’s AI Act, the U.S. AI Bill of Rights, and China’s strategic approach to achieving global leadership in AI. Furthermore, it explores the ecological implications of AI development, particularly its high energy consumption, while also considering AI’s potential role in supporting environmental sustainability.

In addition, the article analyzes AI’s impact on the labor market. It discusses structural changes in employment and emphasizes the growing need for retraining and reskilling the workforce. The concept of prompt engineering is also introduced as a critical skill for interacting effectively with generative AI systems.

Ultimately, the study underscores the importance of establishing strong ethical norms in global AI governance. It argues that cooperation among businesses, governments, and civil society is essential for ensuring responsible AI development and deployment. Striking a balance between innovation and ethical safeguards is presented as a key requirement for sustainable AI integration in international business.
