As an educator, there are few things more rewarding than witnessing students develop their academic potential, ask meaningful questions, and engage in research that contributes to solving real-world problems. At Mittweida University of Applied Sciences, we have always believed in the transformative power of education, and through the Ukraine-Digital project, we have had the opportunity to support students in their pursuit of knowledge and scientific discovery.

Daria Litvinova

‘This scholarship is a necessary financial support for me and a great motivation to tackle the next project,’ reports Daria Litvinova.

Ms Litvinova is in the final stages of her Master’s degree in Industrial Management IBE at the WI Faculty. As a Ukrainian student and refugee, she faces particular challenges.

The scholarship was an important financial support for her, enabling her to concentrate fully on her academic goals without financial burdens and to make great progress in her studies. Thanks to the scholarship’s support, she was able to finance a short visit to Ukraine, which gave her a much-needed break to see her family again and recharge her batteries for the future.

Ms Litvinova is about to complete her Master’s degree and will defend her thesis in October 2024. She is currently concentrating on finalising her research work. Alongside this, she continues to work as a project coordinator in the ‘Ukraine digital’ project and is gaining valuable experience in managing international education projects.

After completing her studies, Ms Litvinova would like to pursue a career that builds on her experience in project management, particularly in the context of international initiatives. She does not want to commit herself yet, but would be open to further studies or a career in Germany or abroad.
