Abstract
This study explores the growing significance of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks in the operations of international banking groups, particularly in the Ukrainian context. The focus is placed on the role ESG risks play in shaping investment attractiveness, corporate responsibility, and long-term sustainability. By analyzing the ESG-related impact on Raiffeisen Bank International, including its operations in Russia, the paper applies econometric models such as ARMA, GARCH, and MS-GARCH to identify how ESG factors influence stock returns and volatility. The findings highlight that ESG risks, especially social and governance-related, significantly affect investment behavior, financial performance, and reputational stability. The study underscores the need for international banking institutions to integrate ESG frameworks into their risk management strategies.
