Aims & Scope
The International Journal of Psychology and Strategic Communication (IJPSC) is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, fully open-access scholarly journal focusing on psychology, strategic communication, management, governance, innovation, and transformation.
Aims
IJPSC aims to advance scholarly understanding of strategic decision-making, communication, leadership, organisational change, innovation, and transformation in business, public institutions, politics, and society.
The journal provides an international and interdisciplinary platform for theoretically grounded, methodologically rigorous, and practice-relevant research. It seeks to connect research from psychology, communication studies, management, governance, and related social-science disciplines where these fields contribute directly to the analysis of strategic behaviour, institutional decision-making, organisational development, or societal transformation.
Scope
IJPSC concentrates on five principal research areas:
- Psychology of communication, leadership, and decision-making
- Strategic communication and stakeholder engagement
- Strategic management, governance, and leadership
- Innovation, digital transformation, and organisational change
- Societal, political, and institutional transformation
Research from related disciplines is considered where the manuscript demonstrates a clear and substantive connection to at least one of these core areas.
Relevant interdisciplinary perspectives may include management, economics, organisational studies, political science, public administration, international relations, marketing, human resource management, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and technology studies. These disciplines do not constitute separate journal scopes; they are considered only where they contribute directly to the journal’s defined research focus.
Research Focus
Within its core scope, IJPSC particularly welcomes research addressing:
- strategic decision-making and governance;
- leadership and organisational behaviour;
- strategic and crisis communication;
- stakeholder relationships and engagement;
- organisational change and transformation;
- innovation and digital transformation;
- artificial intelligence in organisations and institutions;
- resilience and strategic responses to uncertainty and crises;
- sustainability and responsible management; and
- institutional and societal change.
International and Interdisciplinary Orientation
IJPSC has an international scope and welcomes research from all geographical regions.
The journal considers national, comparative, cross-national, and international studies where they address research questions within the journal’s defined aims and scope.
Target Readership
The primary readership of IJPSC consists of researchers, academics, doctoral researchers, and research-oriented practitioners working in psychology, strategic communication, management, governance, innovation, organisational change, and related interdisciplinary fields.
The journal is also relevant to professionals whose work is informed by scholarly research, including organisational leaders, communication professionals, consultants, public-sector decision-makers, and policymakers.
Types of Manuscripts
IJPSC considers the following types of scholarly manuscripts:
- Original Research Articles
- Review Articles
- Conceptual Articles
- Case Studies
- Practice-oriented scholarly research articles
All scholarly articles must fall within the journal’s aims and scope and must successfully complete the journal’s editorial assessment and double-blind peer-review process by at least two independent external reviewers before publication.
Out of Scope
IJPSC does not consider manuscripts that lack a clear scholarly connection to its defined research focus.
Purely technical, medical, legal, accounting, financial, or political contributions are outside the journal’s scope unless they directly address questions relating to psychology, strategic communication, management, governance, innovation, organisational change, or transformation.
Commercial, promotional, advocacy-based, or purely opinion-based submissions without a clear scholarly research question, theoretical foundation, analytical framework, or methodological basis are not considered for publication as scholarly articles.
