Call for Reviewers
The International Journal of Psychology and Strategic Communication (IJPSC) invites researchers from around the world to join its international pool of reviewers. IJPSC is a peer-reviewed open access journal that publishes research articles on a rolling basis under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0), with a DOI assigned to every article. The quality of our journal depends on careful, independent, and constructive peer review, and we welcome experts who share this commitment.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for researchers with expertise in psychology, strategic communication, corporate communication, media and communication studies, organizational behavior, marketing, management, and related disciplines. Reviewers should hold a doctoral degree or an equivalent qualification and have a record of peer-reviewed publications in their field. Experienced postdoctoral researchers are also welcome to apply.
We particularly value diversity in our reviewer pool. We therefore encourage applications from researchers at institutions in all regions of the world and from different methodological traditions, both quantitative and qualitative.
What Reviewing for IJPSC Involves
Reviewers are invited by the editors on an ad hoc basis, one manuscript at a time, and only when the topic matches their expertise. Every manuscript is assessed by at least two independent reviewers in a double-blind process: reviewers do not know the identity of the authors, and authors do not learn the identity of the reviewers. Reviewers are not members of the Editorial Board and are not listed publicly.
A review assesses the originality, theoretical grounding, methodological soundness, and clarity of a manuscript and closes with a recommendation to the editor. The final decision always rests with the editors. Reviewers are free to accept or decline each invitation, and we aim to keep the workload manageable, typically no more than two or three reviews per year. We ask reviewers to submit their report within four weeks of accepting an invitation.
Principles of Review
Reviewers treat every manuscript as strictly confidential. They do not share it, discuss it with others, or use its content for their own work. They decline an invitation whenever a conflict of interest exists or could reasonably be perceived, for example in the case of recent collaboration, a shared institution, a supervisory relationship, or close personal ties with the possible authors.
Reviews must be the reviewer’s own independent assessment. Manuscripts may not be uploaded to generative AI tools, and AI may not be used to write review reports. Reviewers follow the COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers.
To safeguard editorial independence, IJPSC applies a strict rule: anyone who reviews for the journal may not publish a research article in IJPSC in the same calendar year.
Recognition
Reviewing for IJPSC is voluntary and unpaid. In recognition of their contribution, reviewers receive a certificate of reviewing for each completed review upon request. At the end of each year, the Editor-in-Chief also thanks every reviewer personally.
Reviewing offers researchers insight into current work in their field and the opportunity to contribute to an international open access journal.
How to Apply
To join the IJPSC reviewer pool, please send an email to editor@ijpsc.org with the subject line “Reviewer Application.” Include your name, academic position, institution, and areas of expertise, along with a link to your institutional profile, ORCID iD, or a short academic CV. The editors review each application and confirm admission to the reviewer pool in writing.
We look forward to hearing from you.
